RENTAL HALLS BRASA STUDIOS
Amsterdam, The Netherlands
PROJECT INFO
Multi-purpose conference center / dance center with catering facilities
Kuiperbergweg, Amsterdam, The Netherlands
Non-residential building, commercial building, catering, interior, redevelopment
Architect
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
-
Complete renovation of a former car showroom with column structure.
-
Basic setup with room for further decoration.
-
Large sound-insulated halls / studios with dance floors, like tropical colored village buildings around a catering 'square' with bar and streets (Salvador, Brazil).
-
Visual vistas in and through the studios offer indirect social contact and give a feeling of togetherness in Brasa City and prevent a feeling of being locked up between the large blocks.
-
Contact with the outside world and bring in as much daylight as possible, dance as art expression on display.
